Clients will be assigned based on their presenting problem. Clients are assigned to a clinician with specialties aligned with the treatment modalities of the concern. Special consideration will be taken such as preferences on gender, race, age, or belief systems as requested by the client.
For many clients, insurance can be used to pay for sessions with a copay or coinsurance cost to the client. If not using insurance, we do offer direct pay. For direct pay clients, session fees may vary depending on the type of session desired, for example, A 45-minute individual session is $150, whereas a 60-minute couples session is $225. A card will be kept on file with numbers hidden from view. Accounts will be charged the morning of your scheduled appointment. You may be asked to reschedule if the payment is not received.
Treatment time frames vary by condition and severity of the presenting problem. Clients will collaborate with their therapist to create a three month treatment plan. This treatment plan is automatically renewed or amended with the client’s collaboration based on the therapist's professional opinion.
We take confidentiality very seriously. It is one of the main pillars of the work that we do. In addition, our profession is bound to the same HIPAA laws and regulations of the medical health industry. We do our best to ensure privacy, such as our encrypted email and phone systems, our HIPAA compliant virtual office and electronic health record system. We take pride in holding our clients' most vulnerable disclosures without leak. There are some exceptions to this privacy such as if a clinician suspects harm to self or others, information may be disclosed to obtain an advanced level of care to ensure the safety of all persons involved.
This group practice offers professional licensed services. Each of our therapists have at least an accredited University masters in the field of therapy, counseling, psychology or mental health. Some of them have special certifications in areas of interest. Please see our therapist bios for more information.
We have a 24 hour policy that is tiered. If you call to cancel or reschedule your appointment 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time, then you will not be charged anything. If you call a day before but inside of the 24 hours, you will be charged $25. If you call the morning of the appointment, you will be charged $50. If you fail to call or email us to let us know that you will not be coming in, you will be charged a $75 no-show fee.
You may call our office at 832-706-2131 or email us at info@restorativepeace.com to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
You can expect sessions to last between 40 to 53 minutes.
For the therapeutic environment to maintain safe and private, we ask that you do not record the sessions. We want to create a safe space and prevent any leaks of personal information at all costs.
Finding the right therapist can take some time. Sometimes the first one is not a great fit and that’s okay. It is completely normal and we will not take it as a personal insult if you may need to switch. Each of our therapists have a unique style and delivery and we want you to connect with someone that is a good fit for you. You can inform your therapist that you would like to switch to a different therapist or call our office to be re-assigned directly.
We do not give nor accept gifts from clients to include tips and special occasion presents. This is to ensure that there are no expectations attached to the therapeutic experience. For more questions about this please feel free to ask your therapist or email us at info@restorativepeace.com
